MEMBERSHIP

The Torchbearer Membership is different than the other Membership Categories at Plays and Players Theater in a number of ways.   We are the Artistic Membership of Plays and Players Theater with a twist!

ABOUT US

The Torchbearers are active, artistic members of the theater who work to produce the dramatic, educational and theatrical programming at Plays and Players Theater.
All members of Plays and Players provide support through funding.  The Torchbearers take those budgets and make the season happen.

YEARLY DUES

Torchbearers receive the same benefits as other non-voting members of the theater while paying a lower-priced membership fee. In exchange, we ask Torchbearers to provide 15 hours of volunteer service to Plays & Players Theater to supplement the discounted membership price. Yearly Dues are just $35.00 a year, plus a one time only $5.00 Initiation Fee.

BENEFITS

As a Torchbearer you receive the benefits given to Plays and Players members, plus the opportunity to:

  • Propose your own projects for the Plays and Players Cabaret Space or Main Stage


  • Meet and share ideas with other artists, musicians, dancers, actors, theatre lovers, technicians, etc. in the Philadelphia area


  • Gain experience in a variety of theatre-related fields including acting, directing, producing, and designing


  • Become an integral part of a grassroots, community theatre and support the arts in Philadelphia in a very real and hands-on manner
